DoAFundraiser guide

How DoAFundraiser Works

See how an organization sets up a campaign, invites local businesses to contribute offers, and prepares a printed discount card for its community.

1. An organization starts a campaign

A school, sports team, church, or community group creates an account, describes its campaign, and chooses an available printed-card package. The campaign becomes available after the organization completes the required package checkout. The organization is responsible for explaining its goals and deciding how to distribute or sell its cards.

2. Local businesses submit offers

The organization can invite nearby businesses to contribute an offer for the card. The current campaign flow provides twelve ad positions. A business submits its business and offer details, and the organization reviews the submission before an approved offer is included in the card design. Participation and available positions depend on the campaign.

3. The organization reviews the card

The organization checks the campaign name, advertiser details, offer wording, and design before the card is sent through the production workflow. Offer restrictions should be clear to cardholders and consistent with the terms shown on the card. A business is responsible for honoring the offer it submitted and the organization approved.

4. Cards are shared with the community

DoAFundraiser supports the campaign setup and printed card workflow. The organization decides how to promote, sell, and distribute its cards, and should explain the price and use of proceeds directly to its supporters. DoAFundraiser does not promise a particular number of sales or a fundraising total.
